Catholics complete their initiation into the Church through the Sacrament of Confirmation. The religious education program prepares eighth and ninth graders for the sacrament, which is administered every other year by a bishop of the archdiocese.
Adults wishing to become members of the Church are required to complete the Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA) program. Confirmation of adults is usually included in the Easter liturgy.
