Jesus enjoins us to forgive one another as we wish to be forgiven. In the Sacrament of Reconciliation, Catholics formally acknowledge their sins to a priest, are absolved of their offenses, and are encouraged to live a life of Christian charity.
The parish’s second grade religious education program prepares youngsters to receive the sacrament in conjunction with their First Communion. Older children who have not received the sacrament may also prepare for their First Reconciliation through the religious education program. Adults may prepare for the sacrament through the parish’s Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA) program.
